The side-hustle was supposed to be the great equaliser. A way to turn passion into profit, skill into security, spare time into spare income.
Instead, for millions, it's become a second shift with no benefits, no protection, and no off-switch. The gig economy didn't liberate us from the 9-to-5. It just added a 6-to-midnight on top of it.
